Unbalanced PH and high Chlorine content can be damaging to copper and brass heaters. We now offer only stainless steel pool and spa heaters at a slightly higher price than we previously charged for the copper and brass unit. Based on our experience this unit will last a long time even in the harshest environments.
The standard warranty on this unit is now 2 years on all electrical parts and 10 years on the heat exchanger. We expect the mean time to failure on both items to be about double the warranty period. All parts that can possibly wear out are easily replaceable and readily available today.
The current cost to replace every electrical working part in this unit is $625. We never expect to have a warranty claim on the heat exchanger itself so you could easily have this unit in operation for 20 years.
In our opinion, it would be intelligent to purchase spare parts for this unit with the heater.
To induce you to do that, we are offering a 10 year warranty on the electrical parts. We will sell it to you for $625 and we will ship with the heater all the electrical parts that could fail during the warranty period. When you need a repair you use the parts supplied and then return the failed parts to us for replacement. Non return of the failed parts will invalidate the warranty for the failed part only.
We will ship the replacement parts to you at our expense for both the freight
(ground freight only) and the parts but you MUST ship back the failed parts at your expense.
Buying this warranty on the date of purchase insures you have the spare parts necessary when they are needed and that they are always available. The downside is you will never need some of them and will have wasted some of your money.
Labor is not covered under any of our warranties.
Improper usage of the equipment that causes parts failure will not be covered.
For example, if you let the water run low in the pool and as a result pump air thru our heater we will not replace the failed elements for free.
