With this system we will set all three heaters to a temperature of 180 degrees.
Heater #1 will have the difference set at 10 degrees so it will come on when more than 15 gallons is demanded from the 160 gallon tank.
Heater #2 will have the difference set at 30 degrees so it will come on when more than 55 gallons is used from the 160 gallon tank that heater #1 and #2 can not replace.
Heater #1 will have the difference set at 50 degrees so it will come on when more than 70 gallons is demanded from the 160 gallon tank that heater #1 and #2 can not replace.
At no point should the temperature of the water in the tank drop below 125 degrees unless we have 20 plus showers running at the same time for longer than 1/3 of an hour.
This system will allow you to run 12 showers continuously 24 hours a day.
We laid this out so you can isolate one heater by shutting down the valves at each end of the heater and still have a fully functional system.
